Back to work after the weekend today and the Monday blues are setting in.
I usually find this to be the most stressful day of the week which isn't good for my diet goals! I usually find myself grabbing a candy bar as a “treat” after work to make me feel better.
But today I came home, went into the kitchen, and grabbed an apple. Why? Partly because I wasn't craving chocolate like I usually do (maybe down to the Slim Diet Patch?) but also because I'm determined to stick to my weight loss goals.
I have to be honest and say that I have failed at dieting in the past because I tend to set unrealistic goals. As adults, it is time to admit to ourselves that it just isn't possible to lose a stone in a week (yes that has been one of my goals before!).
If we set realistic goals and expectations for weight loss, suddenly dieting becomes much easier. When you weight yourself wouldn't it be better to see you had surpassed your goal of losing 2 lbs in a week or to have failed your goal of losing 7lbs in a week?
It's easier to stick to your diet when your diet consists of the right amount of food to keep you feeling full, but the right number of calories for weight loss. It's time to chuck the fad diets like 500 calorie/maple syrup/cabbage soup/juice fast diets in the bin and enjoy our food while we diet!
That's why I'm glad I have set a realistic goal of one stone in one month, and I'm confident my own determination coupled with the help of Slim Diet Patch will help me to stick to it and achieve my weight loss goal!
